The penguins were somewhat relief by the prospect that the ice cap had not melted down but run away from the North Pole. However, they could not avoid being perplexed by the intriguing situation posed by such a voluminous object fleeing. They find it very strange, to say the least, that none of the penguins that were and those that were not, for instance polar bears, fish or macaws, had witnessed a gigantic mass of ice moving up to its feet and start running away at quite a high speed. In their mind, it was quite clear that this could not have remained unnoticed. Hence, their conclusion that not only had the ice cap run away for reasons yet to be determined but also that it had hypnotized all living beings into oblivion, may be by singing, whistling or dancing. Accordingly, they decided to start their quest by singing, dancing and whistling and, given the efforts involved, eating and napping a bit.
